Pros: Great 'natural' bass, clarity & foldable design Cons: nothing serious I've had my PX100's for a couple of years now and I absolutely love them. I compared them to the more expensive PX200's but the PX200 is a closed style pad which gave a heavier but fake sounding bass. The PX100 is an 'open' style headphone giving a much more natural sound which gives the bass a 'very' clear soundstage allowing you to hear the bass strings being strummed cleanly as well as that deep bass sound I certainly love to listen to without the muddy boom.
Highs and midtones are chrystal clear and again I can hear sounds that I didn't know were there using previous headphones.
They completely outclass my $250 large home style headphones although they are about 6 years older than the PX100.
Styling is neat and I find them easy to move around with comfort for long listens. The lead is short enough to tangle less but long enough to be tucked down a jumper to hide all the cords (especially as I have the radio/remote accessory for my ipod classic. The fact they fold neatly away in a carry case with a cord holder is also great for traveling)
The 'open' style means they don't keep the sound in so people around you on a busy train or bus may hear sound if it's up too loud but then the 'closed' type is uncomfortable as it causes your ears to get uncomfortably warm and sweaty.
I couldn't recommend these any higher and I doubt you will find any in-ear style that can come close to these. I have heard there is some Koss branded model of similar sound quality but have not ever seen it in any stores.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! |

Pros: Sound quality, weight, comfort Cons: Length of cable is quite long. If thats a Con I have had many sets of Sony and Yamaha ear/head phones. Unfortunately normal earbuds fall out of my ears when I sweat. I tried the Sony in ear MDR-EX082 , I have three sets of these, which are great earphones; however when I jog they cause a pressure waves with every step which is very uncomfortable. As I new Sennheiser was a high quality brand I thought I would try the PX100 headphone. They arrived in a great carry case, easy to get in and out so they will always be protected. The sound quality from these little phones is second to none. The bass is deep, mids are crystal, they really are fantastic. The main use for me is when Im jogging, now this is the best part for me, they stay firmly in position on my head no mater how fast I run. The sound from the phones when out doors is great, and the phones allow me to hear cyclists bells or traffic coming. If the volume isnt cranked up that is, where the in ear types are a bit dangerous by cancelling out all outside sound. To sum up, these are the best headphones I have purchsed thus far and I will never buy anthing but Sennheiser from now on. I have just ordered a set of white PX200 for my wife who has started to use mine, a little bit too often. Hope this helps your decisions. A+ |

Pros: Price, Comfort, Weight Cons: Not good for jogging I bought the PX100 to upgrade my slightly older Sony headphones. These headphones, although a tad more expensive delivered a better sound quality. The are excellent choice for any MP3 palyer or alike.
These headphone give a smooth response curve, with no enhanced bass, so the true music is heard. What surprised me the most is the spatial "feeling"- the music literally feels all around you! |
