It all started when Pioneer took the DJ community by storm, establishing a strong foothold in the digital mixing market by releasing the DJM500, which laid down the foundation from which Pioneer has built its digital mixing empire upon.

The DJM600, DJM800 and DJM1000 mixers soon followed and quickly established a new industry standard, perfectly complementing the functionality and design of Pioneer’s premier CDJ range.

However, unsatisfied, Pioneer continues to expand the musical horizons of both professional and amateur DJs, this time unleashing the DJM-700.

Incorporating the familiar layout and footprint of the workhorse DJM600, as well as inheriting some of the brains from its big brother, DJM800/DJM1000, DJM700 PRO DJ 4 CH DIGITAL MIDI MIXER Pioneer’s DJM700 empowers DJs with 96 kHz/24bit sound card quality, a fully assignable MIDI interphase, loads of new effects, as well as the landmark innovation of the world’s first ‘Effect Frequency Filter’.

More than just a fancy name, the ‘Effect Frequency Filter’ empowers DJs with greater control over limiting what frequency bands are subjected to effects, which are not with filter-control. This enhances the degree of audio expression compared to conventional effecters that are applied to the entire frequency range.

With Pioneer’s ‘DJM series’ earning the status as the industry standard” in the market adopted by various clubs and events, the DJM700 comprises of the same familiar feel and high-rigid chassis of its fellow DJM companions, now demanded by DJs across the world.

Main features

High quality sound with 96 kHz/24bit sampling digital system
The analogue signal input from DJ player passes through the shortest signal route, digitalized by 96kHz/24bit high quality sound A/D converter, and reaches the digital mixing stage with its best condition. The mixing is carried out by 32bit DSP without deteriorating the sound quality, and produces the best sound for DJ playing with the ideal filtering.

Furthermore, in order to maximize its characteristics, DJM-700 inherits the high quality sound technology cultivated with DJM-1000/DJM800 like ; High rigidity chassis for minimizing the unnecessary vibration which adversely affects the sound quality, Dual-shield structure for eliminating entry of digital noise, Full-balanced output circuit, etc. And it realizes the clear and powerful club sound.

The world’s first (*3) “Effect Frequency Filter” realizes more enhanced audio expression of effects.
DJM-700 features an “Effect Frequency Filter” allowing the user to limit what frequency bands are subjected to effects, and which are not with filter-control. This enhances the degree of audio expression compared to conventional effecters that are applied to the entire frequency range.
 
”Manual Filter” enables more intuitive setting of effects.
DJM-700 features “Manual Filter” which is well-reputed at DJM-800. It allows intuitive filtering to expand the expression range of DJ play. Furthermore, in combination with “Beat Effect”, it enables to create a variety of effects to realize various remix/DJ play.

”Beat Effect” “Roll Sampler” enables various effects in sync with the beat (tempo)
Beat Effect: “Beat Effect”, which is well-reputed at DJM-600, has evolved to 96 kHz/ 24bit high performance effect. It automatically detects the tempo (BPM=Beat per Minute) of the tune and effects in sync with that beat, which enables various sound production. ? DJM-700 enables various effects like; DELAY, ECHO, TRANS, FILTER, FLANGER, PHASER, REVERB, ROBOT, CRUSH.

Roll Sampler: “Beat Sampler”, which is well-reputed at DJM-600, has evolved to 96kHz/24bit high performance “Roll Sampler” which enables real-time sampling of sounds. You can enjoy 4 patterns of sampling: ROLL, REVERSE ROLL, PITCH UP ROLL, and PITCH DOWN ROLL.

Beat Select Buttons: Since you can select the beat multiple to which the effect is to be synchronized, it realizes more intuitive DJ play.

”Full-Assignable MIDI function” enables the control of external equipment
You can output virtually all the dials and switch information of DJM-700 in MIDI signal format, allowing external component like DJ Effectors or DJ software application supporting MIDI control to be controlled via MIDI. Since it enables to control DJM-700 and external equipment synchronously, it also can be used as flexible MIDI controller.

Other Functions
Digital Output Terminal: Allows you to realize system connection of digital equipments supporting 96 kHz/24bit sampling rate without degrading sound quality.

Cross Fader Assign: Allows you to assign each channel’s input flexibly to the cross faders.
3-Band Equalizer: A built-in equalizer on each channel enables level control within a –26db to +6db range for high, mid, low bands, respectively.
Fader Curve Adjust: Allows you to change the cross fader/channel fader curve.
Talk Over: Automatically lowers track volume so an MC can talk over the track.
Peak Level Meter: Allows you to check the peak level of the input sound immediately for each channel.
Fader Start: Connect a Pioneer CDJ player with a control cable, and playback can start by simply sliding the cross fader or channel fader.
