 The Concept SUB gives your stereo or surround set up extended, forceful deep bass with authority and weight. Sonically and visually conceived and optimized to match the fresh style and performance of the DALI Concept Series, the Concept SUB combines a 12” air-dried pulp cone with a 160 Watt amplifier in a sturdy, compact enclosure.
 
Available in black or cherry with a metallic anthracite front, Concept SUB will complement any Concept loudspeaker system.

As always with DALI, we focus on articulation and accuracy -and give you the bass that is in the signal - not just a lot of booommm - but not puff either. With the Concept Sub you are certain that "Bada Bing Bada Boom" does not become "Bada Bing Bada Puff" or "BOOOOMMMMMMMM" for that matter.

Incorporating high finish with DALI sound, this series is the best introduction one can get to DALI, and at a price point that does not need much convincing.

MASSIVE and DEEP sound. This thing has an attitude. You wont say that it is not powerful enough.

This is gonna BANG like no woofer has banged before - rap sounds FANTASTIC and bass is clean and accurate.

WARNING! Do not listen too loud. My ears start to hurt after 20 min at 30% volume.

Pros: Small size, value for money, Line and LFE input
Cons: Exposed woofer prone to damage if you have kids
The Dali Concept Sub is a very decent active subwoofer, especially considering its size and price-level. It is a very sturdy design, placed on four spikes to minimise interference with the floor. It drives the sound directly from an exposed woofer, as oposed to a bass-reflex design. Where-as this has no negative impact on the sound produced, it does leave te woofer exposed to damage, especially if you have kids or pets.

There are very wide ranges of sub-woofers on the market, from entry-level to very high end. Any sounds below the 200hz are primarily driven by the room acoustics, rather than the quality of the speakers. It therefore seems to be futile to spend 3 to 4 thousand dollars on a subwoofer, when you should be spending on the room acoustics, subwoofer placement, and if you have the possibilty - equalisation for room correction.

I would recommend the Dali Concept Sub for providing excellent value for money as a good multi-purpose subwoofer.
