D-Link® introduces its newest member of the D-Link SECURICAM Network of Internet Cameras: the DCS-G900. A full-featured surveillance camera, the DCS-G900 connects using 802.11g to your existing wireless network. The DCS-G900 features a high quality glass lens and CMOS sensor to capture high-quality MJPEG video. Controlling your camera is made simple using the included IP View Lite SE Software*. IP View Lite SE manages up to four DCS-900 series or DCS-950 series cameras simultaneously. Using IP View Lite SE, you can set your camera to record whenever it detects motion, on a set schedule, or to record manually. Alternatively, you can view a live feed and take snapshots with any ActiveX® or Java®-enabled webDCS-G900 Wireless G Internet Camera browser, making it ideal for capturing a moment no matter where you are. Web-based camera access works with both PC and Mac®. By signing up with one of the many free Dynamic DNS services available on the web, you can assign an easy-to-remember web address to the camera. Remotely access your camera without having to remember the IP address, even if your Internet Service Provider changes it. The DCS-G900 adheres to the Universal Plug & Play (UPnP™) specification which allows computers running Windows® XP to recognize the DCS-G900 and automatically add it to the network. The DCS-G900 can be accessed and viewed from “My Network Places” as a device on the network. Everything you need to get started is included with the DCS-G900. The stand for the DCS-G900 also doubles as a wall mount, so you can place the compact DCS-G900 in a variety of locations. Once installed, an easy to use setup wizard simplifies the initial setup of the DCS-G900. The D-Link DCS-G900 is a wireless internet camera designed to hook up with your existing 802.11g wireless network. It's built for continuous surveillance, using an optimized glass lens and CMOS sensor to capture high-quality MJPEG video. Because it is wireless there is absolutely no drilling of holes and clipping of cables required. Just place it where you want it to film and you can do the rest from your computer.

Installing the DCS-G900 takes nothing at all. Because it adheres to the Universal Plug & Play system, any computer running Windows XP will instantly recognize the DCS-G900 and automatically add it to the network. You can then access and view it from “My Network Places” as a device on your network.
 
Everything you need to get started is included with the DCS-G900. The stand for the DCS-G900 is a nifty piece of work that also doubles as a wall mount, enabling you to place the compact DCS-G900 in a variety of locations. Once you've installed it, there's an easy to use setup wizard that guides you through the initial stages of the set up.

Controlling the DCS-G900 is refreshingly straightforward, thanks to the included IP View Lite SE Software. It guides you through the set up of your camera, enabling you to tweak the way it operates to meet your requirements. For instance, if the camera is watching an entrance you can set it to record only when it detects motion. Alternatively, if you want it to record at particular times - at night, for instance - you can put it on a set schedule. Otherwise you can set it to record manually, capturing everything it sees. Using the IP View Lite software you can also manage up to 4 separate DCS-900 series cameras simultaneously, creating a tight surveillance network for your home or business. Any time you want you can view a live feed on your computer and take snap shots using any Active-X or Java-enabled web browser. Because it broadcasts over the internet you don't need to be at your own computer to see it. All you need is the camera's IP address and you can watch your camera's footage on any internet-enabled PC or Mac.

If you sign up with one of the many free Dynamic DNS services available on the web, you can make viewing your camera feed even simpler by assigning an easy-to-remember web address to it. That means you won't need to remember the camera's individual IP address for remote access to the footage, just a simple URL. It's a great way of keeping a close eye on your property even when you're over on the other side of the world.
