A problem with a lot of conventional dual-driver designs is that they offer an uneven sound response. That means that the sound varies depending on your position, lessening the overall audio experience. The Logitech X-230 distinguishes itself from these by using its patented FDD2 technology to eliminate the problem of uneven sound. FDD2, which stands for Frequency Directed Dual Driver is a clever piece of design that effectively eliminates the inconsistency and "hot spots" common to other dual-driver satellites. The result is a clear, uniform sonic response, making for a superior listening experience.
 
This rich, full-bodied sound makes the X-230's perfect for any PC audio function, whether it's listening to music, watching movies or playing the latest games. The sound is crisp and clean at the high end of the audio spectrum and powerful and distortion-free in the bass, thanks to an innovative subwoofer that automatically adjusts itself dynamically for the best possible result. The woofer also has a clever ported design, enabling it to displace more air for a deeper, phatter bass response.

Here at Digital Home we tried the X-230 speakers out in a variety of positions, using their wall-mounting capabilities. It was easy to do, as the satellites conveniently rotate for best placement. No matter where we put them we were impressed with the consistency and fidelity of the sound. For this price, they're superb value.

The X-230's volume and subwoofer controls are perfectly placed for quick access. If you find you want to crank them but don't want to have the cops come round then you'll be pleased to find the headphone jack for private listening.

I have had this system on my PC for almost 3 years and it puts out a decent amount of sound. I have it set up at one end of the house and with the volume just over half way, it can be heard clearly at the other end.

If you want a simple to use 2.1 setup for a PC, that gives you decent dynamic range and clarity, you can't go past this system from Logitech. Great value for money.

Pros: Great styling, price, sound quality, easy to install
These speakers are sharp and clean, the sound is fantastic considering thier size and at the the price they easily dominate thier competitors...

Pros: Stylish,strong sound /bass,good clarity and well made
Cons: No treble control,small speaker front netting maybe a little fragile
Nice stylish speakers small footprint and strong bass sound.I've been very happy with the sound quality considering they are computer speakers.
They are certainly a bargain at the price.
