Pros: Very stylish and sleek black finish. Green LEDs light up when a port is active. Very easy to install. USB 2 is fast enough for all USB devices.
Cons: Short cable length. Power (other than through the USB) is needed. Due to the hubs small size the USB cable can be an annoyance where it plugs in.
Overall, Logitechs Premium 4 Port USB Hub is perfect for owners of a notebook computer.
Its good looks, speedy and reliable performance make this USB hub a top quality product.
The only downside I have found with it is it requires a power adapter. It would have been really nice if Logitech found a way of powering the hub via the 1 USB cable. I do however realize that by doing this it would sacrifice a small amount of battery power but I would be willing to cope with that !! The benefits for me would definitely outweigh my laptop running a couple of minutes less.
When I am traveling I personally would like less cables, less weight and the ability to be able to connect more than 1 device whether I'm in a car, a plane or having a coffee at a cafe and this USB hub is almost there but not quite.
Regardless of these few flaws I am recommending these great hubs to anyone who has a need for speed and for those that require a few extra USB ports, let's face it, a wireless mouse uses 1 port on my laptop and on the other 2 I have a flash drive and Logitech USB powered speakers. Without the hub there would be no room for my portable printer or USB Hard Drive without plugging and unplugging devices sacrificing 1 thing for another.
