Pros: Easy to use, in-built mic, decent picture
Cons: featureless
When I started looking at webcams, all I wanted to do was have something I could use to chat over Messenger Live with my family. I really wanted to buy a webcam with some high-powered features like face tracking and that kind of thing but couldn't bring myself to spend that kind of money. So I started looking at the cheaper options. This webcam is cute, small, easy to use and most importantly is under $60 with a microphone already in-built. Ok so the quality isn't like using your nice 7MP digital camera but for a reasonably lit room, it is more than adequate. The images aren't blurred and you cant easily make out features on your face. Of course its pixely but again, at the price its not bad.
The microphone is excellent and covers a decent distance from the camera (I think I've gone about 3m and it was still clear on the other end).
Negatives are of course that there are no features - whatsoever. I also get annoyed sometimes at the manouverability; sometimes the cord position effects the ability of the cam to stay in place.
Regardless, I was very happy with my purchase and glad I didn't spend any extra as it wasn't necessary. Great camera for those on a budget who dont need features. |
