    MP3s, phone calls and audio books, through the vehicle’s stereo. Like the nuvi660 this model replaces, the unit also offers Bluetooth® wireless technology for hands-free calling when paired with compatible phones. Users simply tap nüvi’s screen to dial or answer calls and then speak directly into the unit’s built-in microphone. In addition, users can look up phone numbers and dial them from the mobile phone’s call history log that shows calls received, calls dialed and calls missed (for supported phones). If a user needs aNUVI760 Portable Incar GPS phone number for their destination, they can easily find and dial it from nüvi’s points of interest database, which includes hotels, restaurants, stores and much more.  See www.garmin.com/bluetooth for a list of compatible phones.

    The nüvi 760 comes preloaded with highly detailed City Navigator® NT (Where is ver. 14) road maps. The preloaded map data features one million points of interest, including hotels, restaurants, gas stations, ATMs and attractions. Nuvi 760”Speaks your language” with TTS (Text to Speech) for all navigational instructions and Speed and Red light Camera compatible with data offered as a free download from www.garmin.com.au.  Unique to the nuvi range is the speed and red light warnings are given as voice commands indicating approaches to dangerous black spot locations.

    All Garmin street navigation units purchased new fromMay 1, 2008 and pre loaded with Australian City Navigator 2008 are eligible for a free update to the new City Navigator Australia 2009 mapping (Sensis release 15).

    The City Navigator Australia 2009 update will be released around July 2008. Eligible customers should register their unit and order their map update through Garmin's website.

    Go to my.garmin.com and create your free .myGarmin. account. Register your unit then select .Activate/Unlock or Update your Mapping product.. If your unit is eligible for a map update, a link will be provided that will guide you through the process.

    Pros: Blue tooth, lodging, touch screen
    Wow what a gadget, my wife & I took this unit to Europe were we had organised a lease car in Germany. We drove through Switzerland, down to the French Riviera, across to Venice, Florence, Pisa, Tuscany, Rome, Almalfi coast & back to Rome were we left the car. we had left with only our starting point accomodation booked. The Garmin served as a in car hands free unit for my mobile phone, we would pull into a city punch in lodging and up would come all the hotels in the area, then we would touch on one and it would ring the hotel, we then negotiate a price or move on to the next one. Once confirmed we would press go and it took us straight there. 5,000 Km with no hassles.

    What a life saver ! This is the best thing i have ever purchased ... I got lost going there but not going back ...
    I have been living in QLD for 5 years and have got lost more times than i care to remember but no more, the Garmin is my best friend and now im never home....
